Conoce a Taylor, propietaria de Tutu School .

Hi there! I’m Taylor – proud owner of Tutu School Westfield… coming soon, and I can’t wait to twirl with you!

My ballet journey began when I was just three years old. While I explored many styles over the years, ballet has always been my first love. From Madison (WI) to Chicago (IL), San Francisco (CA) to Paris (France), I’ve studied in studios big and small, each one adding a new step to my dance story. Along the way, I performed in cherished productions like The Nutcracker and Cinderella with Madison Ballet, and later danced with modern companies across the Midwest.

When I was seven, I told my parents I wanted to be a dance teacher. I feel very lucky to have their support as well as the opportunities to study and build a career in dance. I earned my BFA in Dance and a Minor in Arts Management from Columbia College Chicago, followed by a Mater’s in Early Childhood Education from DePaul University. During those years, I taught everything from ballet to tap to creative movement, all across Chicago.

And then, like magic, Tutu School found me in Chicago. I had actually met the CEO + Founder of Tutu School, Genevieve Custer Weeks, while performing with Madison Ballet in Wisconsin. We reconnected in Chicago, which became the home of Tutu School Headquarters – or twirlquarters as I like to call it.

I began as a teacher at one of Tutu School’s corporate studios, and since 2017, I’ve grown with the brand, eventually serving as Director of Brand Studios and Director of Franchise Support. It has been a dream to help bring the wonder of ballet to so many communities — and now, I get to live that dream right here in Westfield.

My husband grew up in Westfield, and now we call nearby Maplewood home. Westfield holds a special place in my heart, and I’m so excited to share the joy of storytelling and twirling with your little ones in our charming downtown.

I can’t wait to meet you and your little dancers soon!
