Kids Ballet Classes in Walnut Creek: A Magical Sugar Plum Fairy Party

Our studio took a magical trip to the Land of Sweets on September 26 as we welcomed dancers and families to a very special Sugar Plum Fairy Party at Tutu School Walnut Creek!

The afternoon was filled with ballet, storytelling, festive crafts, sweet treats, and plenty of magical moments together. Best of all, the celebration gave our dancers a little preview of the magic to come in our upcoming Winter Bravo Bash: Land of Sweets on December 6 at the Del Valle Theatre!

A Visit from the Sugar Plum Fairy

One of the most magical moments of the afternoon was a special visit from Miss Sarah as the Sugar Plum Fairy!

Our little dancers were enchanted as the Sugar Plum Fairy came to life right inside their own ballet studio. Experiences like these are one of our favorite ways to introduce young children to the characters and stories of classical ballet.

For our dancers, ballet isn’t simply about learning steps. It’s also about discovering the music, stories, characters, and imagination that have made classical ballets magical for generations.

Nutcracker Storytime and Sweet Treats

After meeting the Sugar Plum Fairy, our dancers gathered together for a special Nutcracker storytime.

The Nutcracker and its magical Land of Sweets provided the perfect inspiration for our celebration—and for the exciting performance our dancers are preparing for this winter!

The afternoon continued with festive crafts, delicious cookies, and plenty of time to enjoy being together with our Tutu School friends.

From the ballet stories to the sweet treats, our Sugar Plum Fairy Party was filled with the kind of childhood magic we love creating at Tutu School Walnut Creek.

Getting Ready for the Land of Sweets

All this sweetness has us even more excited about what’s coming next: Winter Bravo Bash: Land of Sweets!

On December 6, our Tutu School Walnut Creek dancers will take the stage at the Del Valle Theatre and bring the magic of the Land of Sweets to life for their families and friends.

Bravo Bash is one of our favorite Tutu School traditions because it gives children a chance to experience everything that makes performing so special. They’ll learn their recital choreography with their Tutu Teachers, dress in costume, perform for family and friends, and experience the excitement of taking their very own bow on stage.

For our dancers, it’s an opportunity to build confidence, celebrate what they’ve learned, dance alongside their friends, and create a special memory with their families.
