A Peek Inside Petite Day Camp at Tutu School
Petite Day Camp at Tutu School is designed especially for our younger dancers, offering a thoughtful balance of structure, creativity, and movement in a nurturing environment. These are day camps from 9AM to 12PM.
Each morning begins with a calm arrival and check in, allowing campers time to settle in with self directed activities such as coloring or working on a craft. Dancers then gather for Morning Meeting, where they learn one another’s names, review camp routines, and preview the day ahead with a daily question and group discussion.
Each week of Petite Day Camp features a different ballet inspired theme, drawing from beloved classics such as Swan Lake, Cinderella, The Nutcracker, and more. These themes guide the music, movement, stories, and crafts throughout the week, helping dancers fully immerse themselves in the world of ballet.
The day includes a dedicated ballet class designed for 3-5 year olds.
Ballet Storytime is a highlight of the day. Teachers read and perform sections of a ballet story while inviting dancers to observe illustrations, ask questions, and make connections through movement and imagination.
The camp day also includes group games, ballet themed activities, and a closing circle where dancers reflect on their favorite part of the day before preparing for pickup.
Petite Day Camp is a magical mix of ballet, adventure and friendship.
Tutu School Sacramento is hosting Petite Day Camp on Wednesdays starting June 24th to August 12th.
