Nanny & Me Valentine Dance at Tutu School Pleasanton: A Sweet Morning of Ballet, Cookies, and Connection

Tutu School Pleasanton hosted a magical Nanny & Me Valentine Dance for toddlers and caregivers featuring ballet, freeze dance hugs, cookies from Primrose Bakery, and Valentine coloring.

On Wednesday, February 11 at 9:30am, our studio at Tutu School Pleasanton was filled with tiny dancers, warm hugs, and lots of Valentine cheer during our Nanny and Me Valentine Dance event.

Designed especially for our youngest ballerinas and their caregivers, this sweet morning welcomed about 10 children (ages 9 months to 3 years) and their nannies for a joyful ballet experience focused on connection, movement, and play.

A Valentine-Themed Ballet Class for Toddlers

Teacher Makenzie led the class with a special Valentine twist on our beloved ballet activities. The morning began with gentle dancing and movement designed for little ones to explore ballet with their favorite grown-ups.

One particularly adorable moment happened during Butterfly Solo, when each nanny introduced themselves as they danced with their little ballerina. It was a wonderful way to help everyone get to know each other and immediately created a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Valentine Freeze Dance (With Hugs!)

One of the highlights of the event was our Valentine Freeze Dance game. Instead of simply freezing when the music stopped, dancers had a special instruction — give a hug to their Valentine!

The room quickly filled with giggles, twirls, and lots of sweet hugs between toddlers and their caregivers.

Cookies and Valentine Coloring

After dancing, everyone gathered for a cozy cookie picnic, featuring delicious treats from our wonderful partner Primrose Bakery. The cookies were an instant hit with both the little dancers and the adults!

To finish the morning, the children enjoyed coloring Valentine’s Day coloring sheets, giving everyone a few quiet moments to relax and chat together.

A Morning of Friendship and Community

What made the event truly magical was how quickly the nannies connected with each other. Throughout the class and picnic, they were chatting, laughing, and sharing stories while the children played and danced nearby.

Moments like these are exactly what make events at Tutu School Pleasanton so special — bringing families and caregivers together through the joy of ballet.

We loved celebrating Valentine’s Day with this wonderful group and can’t wait for more magical mornings with our tiniest dancers.
