If you’ve walked past our studio in the beautiful Montclair Village recently, you know that our space is filled with magic, classical music, and the joy of children discovering dance. For years, we have loved being known as Tutu School Montclair.

But as we looked at our community- our families, our neighbors, and the vibrant city we call home- we realized our name needed to grow as big as our pride for this city.

Starting January 1, 2026, we are officially becoming Tutu School Oakland.

Why the Change? We aren’t moving. We aren’t changing ownership. We are simply embracing our identity.

Montclair is our neighborhood, but Oakland is our home.

Oakland is a city of artists, dreamers, and movers. It is a city that celebrates diversity, creativity, and community- values that are at the very heart of the Tutu School curriculum. By adopting the name Tutu School Oakland, we are planting our flag and saying loud and clear: We are proud to be the premier destination for children’s ballet in this incredible city.

What This Means for Our Families:

While our name is getting a fresh coat of sparkle, the magic inside the studio remains exactly the same.

• Same Location: You can still find us in our beloved spot in Montclair Village.
• Same Teachers: The nurturing instructors your little ones love are still here.
• Same Curriculum: We will continue to focus on developmental growth, storytelling, and the joy of dance.
