Kids Ballet Classes in Oakland: Celebrating 10 Years of Tutu School in Montclair Village

Tutu School Oakland is celebrating 10 years! For an entire decade, we’ve had the joy of bringing ballet, imagination, and plenty of twirling to little dancers and families in Montclair Village and the greater Oakland community.

Ten years is a milestone that has us feeling especially grateful as we look back at all the tiny ballet slippers, first pliés, Bravo Bash performances, friendships, and magical moments that have filled our studio over the years.

10 Years of Ballet in Montclair Village

For the past decade, our home in Montclair Village in Oakland has been a place where children can discover ballet in an environment created especially for them.

We’ve welcomed dancers taking their very first class, watched them grow in confidence and independence, celebrated milestones together, and cheered them on as they took the stage. Some families have stayed with us for years, while others have returned with younger siblings or stopped by to visit—and each has become part of the story of Tutu School Oakland.

That’s a lot of twirling in 10 years!

A Decade of Imagination, Movement, and Magic

At Tutu School Oakland, we believe ballet can be about so much more than learning the steps.

Our classes introduce children to the beauty of classical ballet while encouraging creativity, musicality, storytelling, and imaginative movement. Most importantly, we want our dancers to experience the simple joy of dancing.

Over the past 10 years, our wonderful Tutu Teachers have helped bring that philosophy to life week after week, creating a warm and magical space where young dancers can learn, grow, and be themselves.

Thank You, Oakland!

Reaching our 10th anniversary wouldn’t be possible without the families who have walked through our doors and trusted us to be part of their children’s earliest experiences with dance.

To our current families, our alumni, our teachers past and present, and our wonderful Montclair Village and Oakland community: thank you.

Thank you for 10 years of supporting our little ballet school. Thank you for sharing your dancers with us. And thank you for filling our studio with so much joy, laughter, music, and magic.

Ten years down, and there are still so many twirls ahead!
