Kids Ballet Classes in Lakewood: A Magical Sugar Plum Fairy Party at Tutu School

Something extra magical happened at Tutu School Lakewood on Sunday, September 20! In celebration of the Land of Sweets theme for our upcoming Winter Bravo Bash recital, we welcomed our dancers for a very special Sugar Plum Fairy Party.

Our studio was filled with tiny fairies, sparkling tutus, ballet magic, and one very special Sugar Plum Fairy!

A Studio Full of Little Fairies

Our dancers were invited to dress up as little fairies for the celebration, and they certainly brought the magic with them!

The Sugar Plum Fairy is one of the most beloved characters from The Nutcracker, making her the perfect inspiration as our dancers prepare to enter the Land of Sweets for this year’s Winter Bravo Bash.

The afternoon gave our students a chance to experience some of the wonder and storytelling behind classical ballet while getting even more excited about their own opportunity to perform on stage this winter.

A Visit from the Sugar Plum Fairy

The most magical moment of the party came when Miss Rhyann transformed into the Sugar Plum Fairy and performed for our dancers in her pointe shoes.

Our students were mesmerized.

Watching their own Tutu Teacher dance en pointe gave our little dancers an opportunity to see the beauty of ballet up close. Seeing their faces as they watched Miss Rhyann twirl through the studio was one of those special Tutu School moments we’ll remember for a long time.

For our young dancers, ballet stories aren’t simply something we talk about in class. Special experiences like this help bring the music, characters, costumes, and magic of classical ballet to life right before their eyes.

Getting Ready for the Land of Sweets

The Sugar Plum Fairy Party was also a very special way to celebrate what’s coming next: our Winter Bravo Bash recital!

This December at the Jordan High School Auditorium, our dancers will have their own opportunity to take the stage as we bring the magical Land of Sweets to life.

Bravo Bash is one of our favorite Tutu School traditions. It gives our dancers a chance to share what they’ve been learning with the people they love while experiencing the excitement of costumes, music, choreography, and performing on a real stage.

And just like our Sugar Plum Fairy Party, it’s about so much more than perfect ballet steps. It’s about confidence, imagination, making memories, and experiencing the magic of ballet together.

Join Us for Winter Bravo Bash!

If your dancer hasn’t signed up for our Winter Bravo Bash recital yet, there’s still time to join us in the Land of Sweets!

We can’t wait to see our Tutu School Lakewood dancers take the stage this December and create the kinds of magical childhood memories families will treasure long after the final bow.

Register for Winter Bravo Bash and join us for a magical trip to the Land of Sweets!
