Tutu School Lakewood “Welcome to Lakewood!” Event Recap: A Magical Evening for Young Dancers and Families

On Saturday, April 18th, 2026, Tutu School Lakewood opened its doors for a joyful and heartwarming “Welcome to Lakewood!” celebration. With two sessions at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., families gathered to experience an evening filled with imagination, movement, and community as we welcomed both new and familiar faces into the studio.

Hosted by wonderful teachers Nix, Adonia, Nadia, Olivia, and Jiana, the event brought together approximately 46 children, ages 1 to 8, along with their families. The studio was alive with excitement as young dancers stepped into a magical world designed just for them.

A Rapunzel-Inspired Dance Party Experience
The highlight of the evening was a special visit from Princess Rapunzel, who brought a sense of wonder and storytelling to life. Children were invited to participate in a variety of engaging, age-appropriate activities that sparked creativity and joy:

• Flower crown making for a whimsical, hands-on craft
• Freeze dance and bubbles for playful movement and laughter
• Singing and dancing alongside Princess Rapunzel
• A one-on-one meet-and-greet and photo opportunity with the princess

Each activity created space for children to explore movement, imagination, and connection—hallmarks of the Tutu School experience.

Building a New Dance Community in Lakewood
What made this event especially meaningful was the sense of community already beginning to bloom. With strong attendance from registered families and even a few walk-ins joining the fun, the studio was filled with energy, smiles, and shared excitement.

Events like “Welcome to Lakewood!” reflect what makes Tutu School so special—a place where children can grow in confidence, creativity, and joy while families build meaningful connections with one another.
